JAMIE OLIVER’S HOT CROSS BUNS
February 28, 2025Roll up roll up! Spring has sprung and so too have amazing events at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Music, comedy and family productions are all on the horizon and the venue’s main house and studio space are full to the brim with live entertainment.
A household name arrives with Gyles Brandreth: Can’t Stop Talking (Sun 13 Apr), and the critically acclaimed James Bond Concert Spectacular pays homage to the infamous Bond theme songs, compared by Caroline Bliss who played Miss Moneypenny in The Living Daylights and A Licence to Kill. Another icon is celebrated in Queen of the Night – A tribute to Whitney Houston (Sun 6 Apr), and opera lovers are in for a treat when Puccini’s Madama Butterfly flutters on to the stage (Fri 25 Apr). Add into the mix Seven Drunken Nights (Sun 27 Apr) celebrating Ireland’s much-loved band The Dubliners, and it’s fair to say a good craic is in store this April!
Family fun slams down with Megaslam Wrestling (Sun 20 Apr), ahead of the sequel to War Horse, Michael Morpurgo’s Farm Boy being presented in the Norman Bragg Studio Wed 23 Apr. Hopping into town very aptly after Easter is Bing’s Birthday with catchy songs and first-class puppeteers, and returning due to popular demand in May is Wifi Wars promising interactive fun for all ages.
Looking for a laugh? Look no further than Nabil Abdulrashid (Sat 12 Apr) as seen on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and The Last Leg.
