Spring Madness with shows galore at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre

Variety is the spice of Spring this year as Aylesbury Waterside Theatre has something for everyone over the coming months.

Young theatre fans are spoilt for choice with David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy (Thu 3 – Sun 6 Mar), Justin Live (Sat 19 Mar) for pre-schoolers and for fans of dance there’s the chance to support a 100-strong cast of young local dancers with English Youth Ballet’s Swan Lake (Tue 22 and Wed 23 Mar). With Fireman Sam on the horizon for May and The Tiger Who Came To Tea pouncing on to the stage in the summer – family fun is top of the agenda!

Insights into unknown worlds come courtesy of Harris and Baker’s Backstage Pass (Mon 7 Mar) spilling the beans on the entertainment industry as two of the nation’s best broadcasters who have witnessed some of the greatest names of modern music. Chris Packham brings his show, Pictures from the Edge of The World (Fri 18 Mar) and challenges conventional ideas about where beauty is found and outrageously camp fun is ready to be served up by Julian Clary’s Born to Mince (Wed 30 Mar).

Live music from The Vaccines (Wed 13 Apr) will see the venue in its standing gig layout and tribute bands Best of Bowie (Wed 9 Mar) and Crazy Diamond (Sat 2 Apr) will be paying homage to two of the music industry’s much-loved artists. One of the biggest names on the Irish music scene, Nathan Carter (Fri 11 Mar) is returning with new songs written in lockdown alongside popular covers, and for opera lovers there’s Ellen Kent’s Tosca (Tue 26 Apr) telling a tale of love and treachery.

For the ultimate evening with a difference, think chiselled torsos and high-energy dance routines as Dreamboys take to the stage on Sat 2 APRIL. A show strictly for ages 18+!
