Princes Risborough U3A bridge group offers a way to learn and to play bridge in a friendly, relaxed way. Members include both beginners and those who have played already. Our meetings provide an opportunity to re-examine the hands that you play, and to learn from any mistakes. It is not a duplicate bridge club, and you don’t need to have a partner. You do need to belong to the U3A, although you can come along for a taster session, just to see whether you like it.
The Bridge Group meets in the Community Centre Club Room, on the first Monday and the third Friday of every month at 2 pm. There is a table money charge, presently £1.50 per session.
The group leader provides some basic training and lots of advice (some good, some lousy!). However, the group is not a formal teaching school. The aim is to get you playing as quickly as possible so that you can enjoy bridge as a social game.
