I found myself in the care of Stokenchurch Dog Rescue as my previous owners could no longer care for me.

I started to suffer with separation anxiety after a house move and then got used to having my humans at home during the lockdowns and found it hard when they went back to work.

Please don’t let my age put you off adopting me.  I still love going for my walks and enjoy my daily jaunts off site with the volunteer dog walkers.  I also love playing with tennis balls, so a nice, enclosed garden where I can play fetch with my new human would be great.

I haven’t had a huge amount of previous training, but you definitely can teach an old(er) dog new tricks – I’m very intelligent and will enjoy spending time with my new human learning some new commands.

I’m looking for a home where my human will be around for the majority of the time and will have the patience to build up my confidence when I do have to be left for short periods.  I do not want to share my new home with other dogs or cats and would prefer an adult only home.
