For nearly 7 years now, Stokenchurch Library has been staffed by volunteers working in partnership with Bucks County Council. This has proved an excellent model, ensuring the retention of local access to a comprehensive library service, alongside the introduction of additional facilities and activities for the community.

But with volunteers who have been with us since the very start inevitably moving on, we are now in need of new blood to ensure we can continue. So if you value what libraries offer, have a bit of time to spare at times we are open (which currently includes early Thursday evening and Saturday morning, as well as weekday daytimes), have basic IT skills, and fancy the challenge of providing excellent customer service in a library setting, please get in touch by e-mailing committee.scl@gmail.com providing a phone number or other means of contacting you. Full training will, of course, be provided.
