Springtime fun at Wycombe Swan
March 1, 2020PET EMERGENCIES AND FIRST AID
March 1, 2020If you haven’t yet managed to pop on your trainers and get out of your house in 2020 yet, fret not! As the spring weather starts to emerge and the evenings start to get a little lighter, you might now be a bit more inclined to get started. Here at Run the Rock HQ we’d love to encourage anyone who’s thinking about giving running a go, so we’ve come up with our top 3 tips to help you on your way!
- Start slowly. Couch to 5K is an amazing way to build yourself up and has helped millions of people kick start their love for running.
- Set a routine and make going out a habit, even if it is raining or you’ve had a bad day!
- Give yourself a clear goal to aim for. So, whether that’s just following the Couch to 5K programme, running your first Parkrun or signing up to the Run the Rock 5K race, it’s good to have something you’re working towards.
Run the Rock is back for 2020 with new headline sponsors Wycombe Carpet Centre. The 5K and 10K races will take place on the morning of Saturday 6th June, starting and finishing at Longburrow Hall in Stokenchurch.
You can also bring the kids to take part in our Run the Rock children’s fun run!
